No, I am neither a stockholder, nor do I accept bribes/cash donations to espouse the company line and promote worthless piece of feces products...rather, I am a satisfied customer, and as such, thought I ought to tell you about Leupold's warranty.
I sent a pair of 8x40 Gold Ring binoc's back that I had dropped off a steep scree slope in the Cascades while deer hunting. Patently my fault...I acknowledged as much--and asked them if they would attempt to repair them, and charge me for the work. This was mid October last year, and I wanted my son (12 years old) to have the use of a quality pair of optics for his juvenille deer tag on the Mckenzie starting November 9th. They got them back to me by the 1st of November, and for NO CHARGE!! They also included a new case, an eye cup, and lens caps!! I already own Leupold Windriver 10x50's and two Varie X II's in 3X9. They are a great company, with a great product I would wholeheartedly recommend!!
I'm prayin' for my Trout Creek tag to test out my model 70 30/06 on a monster muley!!

I had a similar experience.

I bought an older rifle with a Leupold 3X9 Gold ring mounted on it from a buddy at work. This was 1996. The optics were foggy. I called up the factory in Aloha and asked them if it was covered under warranty. They asked for the serial number and said WOW that’s an older scope ( 1968 ) and yes it’s covered. It took them less than three weeks to repair and it’s just like brand new.

I’m sold on any company that treat me like this. Beside I like the field of view on the scope.

I had a pair of 10x40 binoculars. I dropped them hunting and they went double vision. I sent them off to Leupold and they sent me a new pair for free. Them in the haste to chase a buck they got left on the hood, as we sped off, they hit the road at about 40 mph :depressed: and broke in half on the center pivot. I sent them in and they fixed them for $100. Last year I lost one of the eye cups, I called and they sent me 2 new ones free.

Leupold has great customer service and they stand behind their product. I have managed to ruin these binoculars twice and I am out $100 to fix them twice. I will always be a Leupold fan. The binoculars have never fogged up.

My rifle scopes or spotting scope hasnt broke or fogged up, which is perfect

Well in 1960 I bought a 4x Leo scope. In 1998 it started fogging up inside--- so I sent it in to see what they could do. 1998 - 1960 = 38 yrs.

Shortly thereafter a customer service rep phones me and says, shiiat this is a really old scope --I don't think we have parts for it anymore, how about I just send you a new scope, unless you are really attached to it?????

I said do whatever you can I don't have a preference.

It was returned shortly thereafter as good as new --maybe better.

Top that Swvoraski (sp)!!!!!

My son paid $$$$$$$$ for Swvoraski (sp) binocs and had nothing but problems dealing with the New York reps --- he said never again!!

Leuopold about the best thing you Oreo's got going,,,

Had the exact same experience as Periwinkle, except I went directly to the front desk at the factory itself.

A very old 2x7 (early 60's)...couldn't replace the parts, so they replaced the entire scope...I had it on my doorstep in 2 days!!!

My father gave me a 3x9 leupold scope that is older then me. The cross hairs were starting to stick a little so I sent it into Leupold, they not only put new cross hairs in the scope, but also cleaned & replaced every part and piece of the scope that did not meet their standard at no charge! Great Outfit!!!!
