There’s been many days when I wished my boat cut through the chop like that.

 

Well, this was cool. I saw this princess cruise ship up close while fishing the last Springer extension.

Then today I spotted him and watched him travel down the river through Kalama and under the Longview bridge.

 

That's LARGE!

Is that last boat a cruise liner? Looks like the same boat the OP posted going under the Astoria bridge.

 

It is👍 it was parked above the St Johns bridge on Saturday. Not sure if that's its usual load/unload dock or not. It is massive

Seen the K boat come thru in front of Ilwaco today, sure looks big with a cpl hundred sport boats around it

 

Another Princess cruise ship but this time we got up close, not as close as these guys though! Lots of people taking pictures, kinda surprised it hasn't been posted yet.

 

I got some great shots and video of this behemoth yesterday, passing marker 43 near Kalama River mouth at 12:15 pm 10-7-25. It dwarfs the average container ship. Some wake too. Anybody know its name?

 

I get USNS vibes from that ship...and reverse image search says USNS Watson.

 

The wake was no joke. I made sure to motor hard off the steep shelf I was fishing so I didn’t get filled with break water.
