Hoping someone much smarter than myself can shed some light onto a question I have. Fuel injected 250 HP yamaha. The motor runs fine, but after shut down it will leak a small amount of fuel somewhere after the fuel filter assy. I am not sure if it is in the plumbing or higher up towards the injector? It will drip for a few seconds and then is done. Anyone have any idea what a potential cause would be? I realize this is probably a terrible explanation...I am fairly motor illiterate.

Why would an outboard leak fuel after shut down?
I'd look closer and see where it's actually leaking from. Really tough to help if you don't know where it's coming from.
On most fuel injected motors there is a drain screw in the line. Maybe it has vibrated loose? Mine has a clear tube attached that drains the fuel away from the motor.
Just a wild guess but maybe the bleed/drain or something seals when pressurized causing an oring or seal to seal but when pressure drains when shut off it leaks a little?
