I bought one years ago, it might have been a Boggs, loaned it out and never got it back.
Recently got one of these used, seems like it’s limited to .035” wire and smaller. I have a few pairs of pliers with the circular tips and they work just as well.
I played with it this weekend and made some nice looking loops. I think I’ll start using it on spinner builds, just have to get used to building from the blade down to the hook. I’ve been building them the other way since ‘97

spinner 53 - the basic tool comes with .035 fittings. There is an optional fitting that is larger, can't remember exact size but heavier wire works fine with the larger fitting.

Did a few more twists , making nice consistent loops now. This is .035” wire. I left the tape up off the hook to show both loops [emoji481]

Try that again

I place that plastic spacer under the first bead . It goes in the tubing so it doesn’t collapse or shift to one side.
