The infamous and often talked about Trilogy Crab pots are now at Ace! Made in the USA and the preferred crab pot manufacture for our beloved Newport Commercial crab fleet.

We have both the fully stainless 32"x11" 3 entrance, and the new 36"x12" 4 entrance complete with weights and zincs.
Many of my Dory buddies in Pacific City fish these pots, as do I. I was able to go from leaving 5 pots out, to leaving just two. They just catch crab!

The 32" with the weights bars and zinc is approx 32lbs. The 36" is only 3lbs heavier at 35lbs which for an all stainless pot is great. The Trilogy model described with the pink web is rock solid however I preferred to sell the traditional with grounded wire entrances. I spent a great deal of time looking into these pots paying full retail like everyone else just to do so. i wasn't disappointed and super happy with the investment.

All stainless like that, and with the zincs, will definitely help the crabbing. I've read in the past and had some experience with pots that have the plastic coating coming off and not working very well. It seems crabs are sensitive to electrolysis as well. Not a bad price for that much stainless.

Actually the only negative I can say about the pots and this could be the case for most brands of pots. Some crab will crawl under the tunnels...very difficult to get out without injuring the crab. After my first time fishing the pots I took the time to lace some #60 net twine from the tunnel frame to the wire mesh below blocking the ability of the crab to crawl under. Helps a fair amount.

A buddy tried 2 of the 4 tunnel on a 4 hour soak and they were absolutely stuffed.

I tried one on a short soak and it out fished my ā€œgoodā€ pots 2/1.

I’ll be in touch Bob.

Bruce your absolutely correct. Trilogy out fishes 2/1 which means less traps dropped. Who doesn't want 24-36 keepers in a single pull.

Well I am officially impressed with these crab pots! I've now fishes with them 3 times versus the EZ Pull, danielsons, and some other kind of pots. Each time, they have caught the majority of the crab. The one gripe i have on these is they need some additional wire weaved around the end of the ramp, as crab get stuck in there. I plan on doing that soon. I have 3 of the 3 door pots, and I plan on getting more once Newports Ace hardware re ups on their stock. Thanks for stocking these! šŸ¦€
