Fished there last week for the second time. Fish a couple s-curves above the mouth and landed a couple silvers and a toon of chum. I know there hasn't been any rain so imagine it is getting low and clear. Might hit it sat. morning depending on my sources. Good luck there, might see you. Hey thanks for the info.What size is the river? plenty of room for big boats?

 

be careful. since the flood there is a big sweeper across the river that will require portage..check the "other" board for more info..

 

where is the satsop river located?? is this a washington river??

 

it's over by aberdeen washington.

 

I'd wait for a shot of rain if you intend on fishing the Satsop. It's way low, and most of the fish are skanks.

If you already have a solid timeframe, you could use the Chehalis as an alternate. There should be a few more fresh fish and it's a bigger river.

 

Satsop is my most fav river!!!

And what a great river to bank fish

You might also add that there is not much bank access except on the very low end of the river.
