There goes the cover.

It's not that hard. Build the stadium in phases, so it is usable each football season. There are stadiums all over the country that add significant additions without being under construction during football season.

I think it shows a lack of planning and skill, but if you guys like think it's ok to play in that venue, that's ok with me. They probably had almost as many fans as UCLA did last night. :D

Fwiw, it's what Penn State is doing.

Penn State is undertaking a multi-phase, $700 million renovation of Beaver Stadium, which will continue through the 2027 season. The project focuses on modernizing the facility, especially the west side, by adding premium seating (suites, loge boxes), improving concourse areas and accessibility with new escalators and elevators, and upgrading amenities like restrooms, lighting, and a sound system. The renovation aims to enhance fan experience, increase revenue streams through premium seating and year-round utility, and allow for a continued, if slightly reduced, capacity during construction.

Key Aspects of the Renovation
    • Phased Approach:
The renovation is being done in phases to keep the stadium open for football games.
    • West Side Demolition and Reconstruction:
The west side of the stadium, including the old press box and steep stands, is being demolished and rebuilt.
    • Modernized Seating:
The new west side will include state-of-the-art premium seating options, such as suites, loge boxes, and climate-controlled club sections.
    • Improved Accessibility:
New escalators and elevators are being installed to improve circulation throughout the stadium.
    • Enhanced Amenities:
The project includes widening concourses, increasing the number of restrooms and concession stands, and installing new LED lighting and an upgraded sound system.
    • Year-Round Utility:
The addition of a winterization system with heating will allow the stadium to host events beyond football games, such as community events and recruiting weekends.

If I heard the announcer correctly, he said this season he expected to see the best quart back he’d ever seen. I wondered what rose colored glass he’s been looking through. Yes, he was speaking of Oregon….
Perhaps it was Uecker nipping off the Jim Beam bottle…. ā€œVaseline ball juuuust a bit outsideā€

As ticked off as Lanning was after the way the Ducks played today, especially the subs, I feel sorry for the Beavers next weekend. It's not going to be pretty.
The Beavs are having a really bad day right now.

Not the best Oregon game, certainly, but ZERO penalties for the first time since the 2000 season! The cover went bye-bye as soon as the bench emptied.

The Ducks got to the 'cats QB a couple times, but I'd sure like to see more pressure, more frequently. The defense also wasn't super sharp against the run. Work to do....

They might be having a really bad day today but wait until the Ducks tear their asses up next week. 0 and 3 and soon to be 0 and 4. Not a good team period. 60+ years a Beaver fan. I just have to wonder why? This year has been totally pathetic.:(šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø I hear the Dark side (Ducks) calling my name. They are saying it’s ā€œnever too lateā€ to come to the dark side. Use the force.😲

Yeah, it seemed like NW could get 4 yards on the ground whenever they wanted.

To me, it looked like the whole team was half Assing it all game. Not a good look.
Might also be why Lanning was so pizzed post game.

Kinda 4 straight cupcake games in a row?
This was the impression I had as well. That, or they were groggy from a long road trip.
The story i want to believe is they intentionally restricted the offense and weren't very aggressive on defense to not give Penn St an film to watch
