I really like my current fish-finder.

Sure would like a simple way of marking my fishing locations from my iPhone..at least till I have to replace my FF where I could then include the GPS waypoints etc..

Anyone seen this type of iPhone app ?

I love the mapquest for street driving, figured maybe there is a good one for boating ??

:anyone:

Cabelas has a Fish Recon app.....I just put the Free one on my phone but I can mark waypoints. I have marked some in the area I fish to be able to get back to the ramp if the fog moves in as a backup in case my electronics are having a problem. I am not recommending it and I wouldn't buy the extra part of it but nothing is wrong with free. Go to the cabelas site and type it in search and it should come up. Hope that helps.......Les

I use the Navionics app for my iPhone 4s, I could not be happier! The app I think was $10. Just download the map for your area and your good to go! It shows the depth range and so many other things! You can mark way points as well...

I use both the Navionics app and MotionX GPS Drive.

Each is different. Navionics is a pretty straightforward GPS app; MotionX has the added ability to give you driving directions. Both are good IMO.

For just saving favorite fishing spots I think Navionics would be a good choice.

I'm interested in using my Ipad with the Navionics app as a plotter and general reference for the CR as well as Merwin, Yale and Swift. My Ipad is not 3G ( it's Wifi ) so i understand that i won't be able to use it as a plotter without a Wifi signal. My idea was to use one of my cell phones as a Wifi hot spot so i could use the Ipad as a plotter with the Navionics app. anyone have any advice about this idea?

Oh yeah one other thing i noticed was the Navionics app for Iphone was $9.99 but if you want it for Ipad it's $49.99!!! What is the difference in price all about?

I know this is a little late, but wanted to list it here with the rest of the apps. Our CatchTracker by FishingNotes.com app specifically is built to make this easy. We also help with lure selection and tips on spot to try based on the weather and location.

Please let me know if you have other ideas that would make our app better or these types of apps in general.
