Ive had a tough time finding a forecast for the Buck deer season in the Heppner / Columbia Basin area.

Any insights?

Heard the specs very early this morning love that sound.

 

started hearing Geese and Swans 2 days ago and then again at 4:30 this morning in Saint Helens. Music to my ears. Love it

Did not notice anymore geese than normal. I live near a small lake, and we have lots of year round geese. I understand some Northeast states have an early goose season for excess residents.

 

the geese flying over now do not stop most years until they hit california. some hit the klamath basin for a rest break

 

I feel like we have had this kind of weather the last few years now...

I remember when it used to snow and/or rain during deer season...so cold your hands would freeze and a warm gut pile felt amazing.

 

It felt like one of the hottest and driest archery seasons I can remember. Mid to upper 80s most of the season with low 60s at night until late this week where we elk hunted.

 

Suppose to get rain this week in central oregon. We had 3 days recently 28 in the mornings.

 

Was 90 at Prineville res yesterday afternoon. Temps drop this week. Def won't mind hiking around with a high in the mid 50's for deer next weekend

 

84 here today. Forecast shows the 10 year averages this time of year for the next two weeks. Could be 90, could be 20. Either way to me it’s better than 65 and raining.
