The only legal ways to share a suppressor are to be physically present with it, or to transfer ownership to a trust or another qualifying individual.

 

If your suppressor is registered to a trust, then members of the trust can be in possession. If just registered to you, then only you can possess it.

I have Firearm Trust the only downside is adding a person to the trust after the trust is created can be a pain in the butt

 

I'd loan a suppressor to a friend whether he was with me or not.

 

And both of you could go to jail and be fined. up to 10 yrs and a $250000 fine.

Imo it's not likely unless the person you lend it to commits a crime with it or o/w draws attention to themselves. I just doubt field officers, spread as thin as they are, care much if you're otherwise behaving.

 

And you could loose your firearms rights. That is why I wouldn’t do it.

 

He can use it, if you’re with him. And legally you need paperwork for it with you.
