I like being on the ground but I haven't tried the helicopter thing so I wouldn't know. Looks like it would be hard though.

If you search Helicopter hog hunts on youtube theres a bunch of videos on it too, fun to watch.

 

Next time I'm in Texas I'm going up looks like a blast help some farmers and have a ball. It's expensive but usually the fun things are.:flag2:

You know, I am kinda torn on that one. I really enjoy my big game, one shot/one kill hunting; also enjoy slaying sage rats all day. But something there doesn't work for me.

 

I understand your conflict. I want to hunt pigs some day & I'd like to kill a pile of them, but I want to be sure they are DEAD when I pull the trigger! Part of me would do this in a heart beat. Part of me doesn't see anything "fair chase" about it (that can be OK - BTW. That's not hunting, that's killin') and part of me wishes stuff like this wasn't on the 'net for the enemy to see.

Has nothing really to do with Hunting, they are doing it because those hogs do so much damage to crops.

Not any different than killing coyotes from a chopper, as hunters of big game we benefit from it and so do the ranchers.

 

I've heard they're overrun with hogs. This video (and several more I watched) seems to indicate that. Tons of em. Nasty looking things. I wouldn't want to run into them without a weapon.

I'm with Wreckless...looks like a fun time as long as I knew they were dead. Looks like a reality video game.

 

I think for first timers they give you a shotgun with 00buck, this is not hunting this is managing an animal that causes millions in damage every year. In Texas their is almost no regulation when it comes to hogs day or night any weapon 365 days a year :flag2:

 

That's because they breed like rats, 365 days a year.
