Lessons learned include how to tie off to fixed pilings versus floating docks.

It was intimidating rolling into Nantucket Boat Basin having never docked this rig, but the gals who were standing by to receive us were fantastic!!

We had a full gallery and we were directly across from the charter fleet. No pressureā€¦šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

My Captain Hotflash just had her first, second, and third lobster rolls as part of finishing the AT up in Maine. She said they were hit or miss. Said one was absolutely fantastic. Even the not so fantastic ones were $pendy. Funny how that works. :)

I’m hopefully getting all my dock-whacking out of my system with my well-worn tin can boat. Does Belle have a bow thruster? Someday…. when my ship comes in, grin… she’ll have a bow thruster. We rented a big yacht for the San Juan’s about 15 years ago and we got addicted to that thruster. Conversely, my beer can boat is a SUMB!TCH to get into a slip at SB when that afternoon northerly has kicked up! I try to make that left (east) turn into the slips and she just gets blown south. I’m sure it’s a Captain problem. But I think we can all relate to docking stress, haha.

Yes, the previous owner had a thruster added ($20k) in 2020.

We’re upgrading the palm beach controls so the thruster is integrated….backing in will be simpler not having to turn and look for the thruster joystick.

TTD…totally thruster dependent 🤣
