Thanks Slab. Eyefish I know you've caught many a salmon. Would you say kwikfish are all season lure. I've seen many peoople shy away from them as the water heats up but I believe they hit them out of anger not for feed and therefore they work at all times. Would you agree? Just thought I'd take this post in a little different direction.

Team Kwikfish??
DISCLAIMER: I don't work for Luhr Jensen... and no, I am not Buzz Ramsey's secret lover... BUT
I can say without hesitation that
if there is a biting salmon in the river, you can virtually guarantee it will hit a Kwikfish... by far the single-best river salmon fishing lure EVER invented.
It's reputation was built on chinook, but I can tell you that silvers, chums, and pinks hammer them with the same vicious, rod-flattening abandon as kings, either backtrolled or fished on anchor, and yes,
all season long!. I have even caught sockeye on them, but that's about as likely as tempting a king hunkered down in a deep hole with a #14 dry fly. BTW, sockeye in Lake Washington were routinely caught on a small red Flatfish before the bare hook craze started 10 or more years ago.
