Live in the sticks. Verizon has by far the best coverage in rural Oregon. It pains me to say it. It pains me to the tune of about $85.00 a month. I think their base plan is only $35.00 or so though.

 

I live in Bend and fish the cascades a lot. Verizon has coverage when the others do not. I get at least a weak signal on every lake I fish.

I can walk a mile outside of elk camp in central Oregon to the top of the hill and get service, and we are a long ways from anywhere..................

 

Verizon. I can make phone calls 30 miles offshore and sent text up to almost 40 miles.

 

Verizon, I had full bars in Eagle Cap Wilderness and 40 miles off shore. Hands down the best.

When we're deep in the canyon the Verizon guys sell minutes to us AT&T guys at very disturbing rates
These two use different technologies and Verizon seems to be able to penetrate remote areas better, most of the time.

Just switch to AT&T Singlebar like me. That way you can lose service in the comfort of your own home:hoboy:

 

Never actually had verizon, but my Us Cellular reception is awesome.... Get it in wilderness. Diamond lake, in very rural areas.

 

IIRC, US Cellular is EVDO based and roams on the Verizon network when out of range of US Cellular towers. So best of both worlds.

One thing for sure... my AT&T iPhone aint what you want.

 

Verizon has coverage in the Klickitat River Canyon....

 

Verizon when you really, really need to make that call!

 

I have US Cellular and it piggybacks off Verizon towers so like said above, it's a good deal. I have reception when a lot of my buds are borrowing my phone to make calls.

 

Another vote for Verizon. I had coverage in hunting camp this year when all others didn't.

Is us cellular have cheaper rates then you can have best of both worlds. Were can you get us cellular & how much do you pay?

 

I'm in Longview and went with US Cellular because Verizon wsan't available at the time we got our phone. My monthly bill for 4 phones with unlimited text and pics runs around $160 or so. No internet on our phones though.

 

Sprint is useless FYI, I'm about to switch also, I was going to go with AT&T but now I'm not sure after seeing all this looks like verison is the clear winner.

my cousin has sprint and usually has service every where my verizon phone does.

 

Hands down Verizon..I managed wireless company for 5 years that had all major carriers and no one is close to verizon! Despite ATT's worthless claims, not a chance, nor with sprint, and tmobile is the worst, but you get what you pay for-That's why Verizon is the most expensive.

 

Verison. Been the best for years and keeps on ticking!

 

Ask my hunting partners. They have tried to use everything but Verizon. If anyone needs to call home from the east side anywhere they have to use my phone. A no-brainer. Verizon

Verizon or Sprint than US Cellular. I've used GSM phones mainly ATT & T-mobile and leaving the major metropolitan area spells coverage problems. Bring along horrendous customer service and costant dropped calls I vowed to never go back.

I've personally been with sprint for the last 5 plus yrs and found the roaming on Verizon was sufficient where sprint didn't have coverage.
