I saw this on C-List and wondered if it would be good or a waste of money. My Dog does well with obedience, but at times needs a little extra enforcement, and help when working him with the bumpers and training wings. 2 weeks ago a friend brought his dog, and we put her collar on Bodhi, and he went into complete obedience mode with just the collar on him, we only nicked him once to get him to hold so the other Dog could work too, and he didn't budge until he was commanded to. So Looong story short, what do you think?

Thanks,
Daryn

No experience with the Petsafe obedience collars but I do have one of their upper end bark collars that works great and seems to be well made. It sounds like Bodhi has already had collar training so the large one would probably work for you. I would question if it's waterproof and how far the range is but for a duck dog the range probably isn't an issue. The price is right for sure.

BTW - I have Dogtra collars for my dogs and they work great - great customer service when I had to get the controller repaired too :applause:

The price is the big reason I was interested, and with Bodhi's quick response I didn't know if I needed the higher end Brands. I will save and get one before season starts if that is the way I should go.

Agree with CL.... I have absolutely no complaints with my dogtra collars..... have been using them for many years now.

I would be very wary of a few things. Like CL mentioned, waterproof and range, but also many of the lower end e-collars "say" they have adjustable stimulation but actually don't. IMO you want to be able to give your dog the lowest amount of stimulation necessary to correct the behavior.... NO MORE. Some of the cheaper e-collars go from "slight stimulation" to "fry-mode" in just one level.... this has the potential to create much bigger training problems. :passout:
