Neighbor across the street got a very nice 6x6 last week over east, it was his first elk with a bow. He was pretty stoked to say the least. I won't post a pic as he's a pretty private guy, not a member of ifish, and I don't have his permission. You'll just have to take my word for it, it's a nice bull......

He's back over there again now trying to get his brother into one. His wife told me Sunday they've been into elk every day, just no good shot opportunities yet.

Where’s all the spikes and rag horns? This thread makes it look like there’s nothing but big boys running around the woods.
Well, 68% of the bulls taken by archery are 5 pt+, 38% were 6pt+, which is the largest antler harvest class for archers, not hard to see where the harvest is occurring. Guess what is the largest antler class for rifle hunters?

Drew a special tag in the 25% pool. Didn’t have time to preseason scout. So the first 4 days I spent driving around the unit. Found elk pretty much everyday besides one. Passed a few nice bulls in bow range. On the 7th day, I let one fly! What an experience.

Great bull! What unit were you hunting?
