Most likely the Umpqua, and they have been catching. BUT don’t put your boots on because the baboons at ODFW put a quota on it. And it will be filled soon. What sucks is the community has an awesome hatchery program, and raise money in many ways….truly a cool place.
So only fin clipped…..these are a bunch of unclipped covid fish, thus off limits….thanks to , ( I better stop there before I get kicked of for speaking truth again)

Liquiddeath, ya the clouds are killing a good shot. What I see thru other sources is that Clorox .4 (which is awesome in my view) is more prominent and moved in with the southerly.

Others may disagree but I like the insides, this time of year when fish are on a more feeding schedule vs traveling . Green water tactics is probably another thread.

What Mark and John said, every year is different but I can recount dozens of times that I went blasting to the corners and beyond looking for the mother load, all the while hear friends @ 124.37 to 45 picking bigger fish. Then at the end of the day I troll for home and pick the last few fish inside the pig, banana area. Almost always twice as big or bigger, 20 miles from where I was….
To each his own but I will trade 30 12-14 # fish for 8 24# fish any day.

We have all our jars full, but with the reports and satellite intel, I am a bit excited for the gang Tuesday, (pretty sure my son will be there) I think its going to happen again.

Curious as to what Mark and John think, but many times we have good numbers and then some guy has one or two and pass me like they are late for dinner going 9or 10 mph, don’t be afraid of 5 or 6, smaller clones, or 4 mph and swim baits it is getting to be that time

A number of years ago , when tuna fishing I saw something way way way off and then it was gone, later the same thing, like stick on the horizon. so we started trolling that direction.
What it was ,was a long log/pole the size of a telephone pole, it was perfectly vertical, and would come maybe 40 feet straight out of the water and then negative buoyancy would send it down for maybe 10 minutes till positive bouyancy took over and then repeat.
How and when this rhythmic log with the water logged end started who knows, who knows, but it would really ruin your days if you came upon it at the wrong time.

Sorry so Late!

Holy smokes….how the heck did you get unchained from your business. So glad you got out, and to your favorite patch of ocean. I will get the details later…
For those who don’t know it ,Bill is probably one of the most honest responsible hard working guys I know, always puts family and job first, so this is awesome.

Just looked at the forecast update for the weekend, not looking good for me.
????????
40nm sw of not
Saturday
Variable winds 5 kt or less. A chance of showers before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8am and 2pm, then a chance of showers after 2pm. Mixed swell...WNW 3 ft and SSW 2 ft. Wind waves around 1 ft.

First I want to apologize, I wasn’t in our boat….which has a good range radio. Apparently this friends radio transmits much better than it receives. When I got to shore I asked my buddy if I was walking on folks and he said all the time……sorry I couldn’t hear conversation in the distance……that was rude of me

Same story scratched out 18 ….42 / 52, the only weird thing was a fish hit a hand line, boat was slowed back but not stopped, and before I could grab it , it went deep and straight down and got cut off with the prop. Never had that happen before.

Mother of all tangles happened when damn shark took the outside clone and went back and forth tying 7 lines in big knot……..cut and retie.
Interesting , the boats down around Coos bay had great number all year and now vanished, even way way past 125.
