0/1 today, cloud cover early was a nice change, good bite that just didn't want to stick around 3:30 (look at the tide tables for those asking) . Back at it after work later this week. If you see an old fiberglass Bell Boy with a top out there say hi.

Before the Sandy dike was removed that changed its flow, that was one of the hottest places in the DZ.

It still produces, but I can see how it would have been better then. It's a nice spot to duck out of the wind some days that's for sure.

Tuesday out of CL fished 1 rod 5-7pm and went 0/1 on a quick bite that came off after taking the rod out of the holder. Saw 2 nice ones caught. Yesterday (Wednesday) 3 rods 5-8pm no hits, no runs, no errors. Grass was not too bad either day, I think these big outgoing tides are flushing them out. I'll probably wait out the heat and hope for better fishing closer and into september.

Have anyone fished along the Government island out from CL to the 205 bridge? I've fished there once, long time ago and have never fished there ever since. Thinking about giving it a try on Monday to avoid the gillnet fleet

0/3 out of CL today, 2 rods. Had one one that took 200' out upriver before popping off, water was reading 70.9 on my finder. Any day now....

Monday, 3 rods, 5-730pm out of CL. 0/3, two drive bys and lost one. Taking today off with that wind. Hoping for an extension, afternoon/evening bite is finally kicking in for me with the water temp dropping.

Wednesday out of CL. 2 rods, 5pm-0'dark thirty. 0/0, weeds were terrible.
