Last spring a crowd at the Wind River area got into some early running spring chinook that were on their way to Idaho. They were not Wind River fish per se but they were catching them. Could the same thing happen with summer run chinook that are heading to the mid-Columbia? Maybe there is a natural travel lane out there near the Wind River buoy line!? Might be worth a try.
