Im a new student in Pullman and have heard that the GR is good for steelhead in the fall. My question is is it too early. And if so when do things heat up? Thanks in advance, Scott

I've always had my best fishing on the lower{Troy on down} starting around Labor Day. If you get the chance, hit it now.

Watch the dam counts. The Wenaha gets a shot of wild fish that will show up in late Sept. and you can pick em' off above the Troy bridge.
November it will get reeeaal good but the pressure will increase.
Some fish will shoot up in the Fall, others will wait it out down below until the Spring runoff and it will be a lure/bait game from then until spawning in April.
Toss in your shotgun because there will be a ton of grouse nearby.
Have fun!!!
