They should be out by now. But when do they go in again ? I have a few days off next week.
Is there a resource to find out when ?

STG,

What happens to the excess sturgeon bycatch that the netters can't sell? Do the fish typically survive the nets?

why are they allowing these guys to keep the sturgeon , kill the excess , then intern close it down for us??????????
we have one screwed up system here, the ODFW Does NOT know how to manage our fisheries.
Thanks to the gillnetters we are going to have a closed fishery for sturg starting next month, now they are going to let them have 9 fish instead of the 7? and they say there are not enough???? whats up with that?
if they allow them to have 9 why on earth are they closing it for?????

Will some one help me start a petition to ban these guys?

Duh!!!!!!

we , us sportsmen need to start doing something before they take it all away from us period!!
if we dont do something its going to wind up just like what was going on in the ocean 10 yrs ago with the high seas drift netters , killing everything , then turning back what is not needed ,
for example , you know those dead oversize we haver been seeing this yr on the CR? their death is not from us 90% isnt , its the netters.
then they wanna increase the quota on sturg for them , but then close it down saying that there isnt enough?
people please help me.
I will start a petition to ban these guys , only if people will help out.
you can call me at 503-7202772

thanks
