My first attempt at homemade ramen with a miso broth...except they didn't have traditional ramen noodles at the store so I bought Udon...The pork belly was absolutely amazing...10/10 would recommend making pork belly.
Every year we do a big Crab feed.for close to 100 people. I always smoke up a couple of Pork butts as insurance in case the crabbing is spotty. Put the rub on, injected and into the smoker 10 AM at 220 using apple and pecan. Removed at 1 sprayed a little apple juice, foils wrapped and into the oven at 225. Removed at 195 and took it to the dinner with homemade BBQ sauce with my wife's chipotle coleslaw. This is usually the Crab alternative favorite. This year my buddies daughter married into a big rodeo family. These boys brought fresh, properly cared for, grilled, Wyoming, Antelope, wild duck poppers, and Antelope Chile, deliciously outclassing me. Welcome to the family boys.
Forgot to grab a picture before digging in. Today I made a Mississippi Roast. Served it over Jasmine rice. Homemade macaroni and cheese with cheese that I smoked last month. Had to throw on a little salad to lighten things up.
Pheasant pot pie. Leftover crust from
Apple pie. Half butter and half lard. Most veg from garden. Pheasant last year’s from freezer, cooked down in stock and picked meat. Stock used for filling. Only one pellet so far.
