Hey, folks... Does anyone out there know what the bouys are above Bonneville on the way up to Klickitat? All my life I was told these bouys (approximately 50 to 75 yards off the bank) were Indian gill net bouys. However, the more I look at them, the more I think they must be something else. I have boated near them and never see a snag or a net. Why are they there?

Are they usually white?

They are bouys for their nets ,you just might not be near them when they have a net there. They leave the bouys there all the time then just add the nets in season.

So Dad was right. Thanks for the info. Your theory makes much more sense than anything I was coming up with.
