I agree with BM-FISHER and would skip the borax. The Amerman's is enough. I just used up some nearly year old Amerman's cured eggs the other day, and the fish I landed didn't seem to care that they were old and had been frozen. And if you have access to a vacuum packer you can put the eggs in quart jars and vacuum seal them without using the old waxed paper trick.
