i have a partial 1000' spool, about 600'. current wholesale price (before shipping) i found is $1.53 per ft. it was $3.10 a ft at home depot. i'll sell any length you want $1.00 per foot. this wire is rated 55 amp at 60deg celsius. basicly 50amp direct burial (run in conduit) sub service wire. this is the rating at 125' runs. this spool has some shipping damage to the outside gray wire covering, very minor. buy the complete partial spool $400.00.

When it comes to electrial work.. there are never any dumb questions!

Baltz's wire is 6-2 ( gauge and number of wires)

Probably not the best for power to shed.

You could use 14-2: check code for below ground run.IE,,,depth in conduit and without conduit (wet rated sheathed wire ..usually gray)

this wire is normally used as a sub feeder line to rv 50amp service, 50amp sub panel for shop, agricultural well, hot tubs, heat pumps/airconditioner, electric furnace. anywhere a 6-2 w ground 50amp subservice line is needed.local code may require different wire
