Cool video. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun. I love fishing there and have talked about ice fishing it but have never taken the time to do it. Thanks for sharing this.

Nicely done for any amount of experience...too bad there was not any excitement in the group...hahahaha...looks like you were really successful in shallower water and the sitting on the stools may have helped to keep quiet while waiting for the bite.....awesome...and well done.

Nice! How thick was the ice? Obviously thick enough...I still might be a little scared to try lol. What did ya use for bait?

 

Ice was about a foot thick. We used powerbait, gulp products and worms.

 

Can you drive a atv or snowmobile there ?

If anyone’s wondering the ice fishing was awesome today. We landed 21 for the three of us. Two of them being over 3lbs! Not much more to ask for on our first time out ice fishing.

that's quite a haul! I realize these videos are now 2 years old but I have to say that if I told my wife I was buying fishing gear to do overnights with the kids I would never have to justify a fishing gear purchase ever.

 

I told the wife I was getting a pull sled and ice auger from Cabella's also a summit 850 Ski Doo from SK Northwest, Boy did I get the Stink Eye from the three girls in the family. The wife started yelling and screaming about the snowmobile-NO SNOWMOBILE because she knows I am bringing one home now that I need it to fish and hunt with .

 

My kids made a video of our trip to Trillium Lake. It was pretty epic for our first time ice fishing. A long walk in to the lake, but it was a lot of fun.
