Can I ask you tree stand guys a couple of questions because I really think it is the best way to hunt for deer.

Question number one do you guys take a book to read?
What kind of saftey harness do you use. Is there are really good one that you would recomend over another one.

My question on the book is I have tried it before and I really saw quite a few deer but I get bored out of my mind. Do you guys stay all day?

I think tree stands are little over looked out here in the West. Boyd Iverson uses them and he has a number of trophies to show for it ok alot more than me . Do you use mutiple sites or several tree stands?

Thanks

[email protected] my brother has used his stand a lot it is a climber I think it's a tree lounge he is so comfotable all he does is fall alseep and snore    Seriously twice I have made mini drives to him and he is asleep. :hoboy:

How high are you getting for bow hunting I know I will have to do some praticing from it before hand.

Thanks guys I may have to make a little investment this year I like his lounge stand. But he uses it for rifle I will have to try it out to see how I can shoot a bow for it.

HuntnFish you mae some great points about his tree lounge I think he would ahve to shoot setting down not sure what would happen if the deer is reight below him. I am not a heights guy and I am not sure I can get up 20 feet in tree with out having to make several trips to the ground to kiss the earth and clean my pants. I have been up about 15 feet in a fixed stand he had I was so nervous even with a saftey harness that I couldn't relax. ( I will never be a goat or sheep hunter :hoboy:) Despite my fear of heights I really think it is valuable way to hunt and as some guys have mentioned it would be a great way to rest the legs occasionaly. If you get a chance to post your pallet stand I would like to see it. I set in a ladder stand one day at about 12 feet and it was not very comfortable although even at 12 feet it gives you a different perspective. When I have been up there all I do is pray for calm wind and no earthe quakes.

Now your talking air conditioning a wet bar for after hours and tv with head phones. Sound proof it. Maybe you need to plant a food plot like those guys in Texas and you could put a recliner in there Albone now we are talking...  now I could feel safe in there . In all honesty that would probably work well a fixed stand because they would get used to it.
