Got my brother out of bed and down to get his license today. He was rewarded with this feisty fish on the Willamette late in the day. Unfortunately I crackered one off 10 minutes later and remain Springerless after 108 hrs of effort.

First my wife, now my brother, the family is trying to tell me something!!
This was his first Springer and Fly (the Lab) was quite impressed!

You still get a partial "boat credit".

These things aren't easy to catch like steelhead...Ooops...did I say that.

Steelhead are pesky creatures, can't keep 'em off my line.  The Springers this year are killin' me. But if the truth be known, once I get one it would move the importance down a few notches and be time for something else or different. The action we had to day involved a new "Rainbow Sherbert" formula. It worked. It's presence in the water nullifies any carrot oriented scent too. Pretty cool eh?
