Fished the Wilson Monday. The one other boater we talked to on the river said he nailed a summer and saw a big chinook chase his spinner up to the boat. We saw a few steelies and had some hits but no takers. Caught a few nice cuts' down low. That was it. Nice day on the river though.
Person we talked to fishing off the bank said he got into five springers on the other river to the south.
My partner Wayne and I caught four beautiful keeper springers, two weekends ago, plus a couple keeper lings - in and out of the bay - but who's counting? Not only do you have to be lucky enough to HOOK one, you then need to battle the sea lions.... I would compare it to hitting four jackpots at Chinook Winds casino. You just never know... Keep the transient killer whales coming. Steve.
Fished upper bay,Monday abouit doz boats 6 fish, tuesday, about same number boats, 6-8 fish, Wed. two fish. I was able to count for a couple of those. Nice fish. Today I did not go but my boat did and they got nothing, they can't do it with out me,,,,,HA. Look out tomorrow.
The tides don't look so great, so I think we'll take our lowered expectations and seal repellant down to the lower Bay, and pull some herring around in the Jaws and CG Hole and see what happens?
One last question, has the bite been at the usual times - turn of the high tide and low slack? Or some other times? I sure like the times when we can fish a good bite in the Jaws during the incoming. Thanks again.
