Did this 3 years ago. Went to Stevens. You have to get a bay kit (6" extention) and the lower unit for you specific model. Spendy if you go new. Lucky if you can find a lower unit for your 115hp. Mine was a 200 offshore merc. If I recall, it was almost $3000 for parts and Labor. Saves a lot on fuel consumption and a whole lot more speed. Scary fast...HT

I'm sure you can, I did on my 90 Merc. Stevens set me up. You may need to change the motor mount height or invest in a Bay Extension Kit. I did just that and can go back and forth between jet and prop without changing my motor height. As suggested, post this on the Stevens boat tech thread on the tech page and they can probably dial you in on what you need to do.

I think the jet lower you want is on the classifieds. It'll need bearings but that would be a good fit I think...

Outboard Jets pretty much has the market cornered. They're online and also easy to reach on the phone, and helpful. The "how to swap" instructions are on there as a PDF.

A jet pump is around 5 inches longer than a prop lower unit . example you have a 20 inch transome , it needs a long shaft motor which is 20 to run a prop. If you remove the lower unit and bolt on a pump the motor will now be 25 inchs . So to go from prop to pump you will raise the motor 5 or so inches ,to go from pump to prop you will need a bay kit .
