Have a camp site this coming week. Worth dragging my drift boat over with an 8 hp? I know it can be good fishing but it’s also late in the summer and going to be in the 90s.

Or should we just bring the kayaks and swim?

Any input would be great

Take your Boat, Jigging: 1/2 Koke jigs and a shortish stiff inexpensive trout rod, tuna oiled Shoepeg corn Trolling: hootchies rigged on double 2's or 4's, a 0000 or 000 dodger and hooks tipped with the tuna Shoepeg

and maybe it's all to late and your already on your camp. Good luck and don't you ever give the fish a rest?

Just got back from a couple days at suttle. Wind made it really hard to fish, but then again was not able to get on the lake till later in the AM. Would have like to hit it early in the AM before the wind kicked up but was camping alone with kids that wasn't happening.

wind made it tough to stay above any marks to jig. On our way back to the ramp the wind died down and was able to stay over a few schools and fish. Gave it a few minutes and ended up landing a 21" brown on ultra light gear. No kokes.

Only second time fishing there but same thing happened last year: limited time to fish, chartreuse p-line Kokanator jig, tuna corn, big brown trout. Definitely worth taking the boat if you can get free in the early morning

Well fishing was slow. Still had a great time with the family. Wind was a non issue surprisingly. Ended up getting a few smaller brown trout.
We trolled and tried jigging for a bit. Saw a few bomber size fish chasing small bait fish.

For the record definitely not too cold to swim. Cool and refreshing. Cheers guys thanks
