I hang it up till spring.....not worth it to me to work the water I fish for half a day to come up with one or two fish or NOTHING! Time for steelhead :yay:

The guys up here that fish Lk. Washington in Winter say that they never catch anything under 2 lbs in Winter, and Smallmouth over 4 lbs are not uncommon. I know of a 7.5 lb Smallie :applause: caught on Lk. WA...wish it was mine, but no such luck. :smash: 5's and 6's are not that unusual. You guys just stay down der in Oregon, ya hear? C&R, Steve

The few times ive gone out to bethany and commonwealth (small ponds) the bite has been on slow rolled crank baits (tiny char. bomber A's) Its almost a surface bite but not... of course nothing of real size has come to hit it but thats what im experiencing

senkos were still working at bethany a couple weeks ago. Haven't been back since. With the pads pretty much gone though it seems harder to locate the fish.

I agree bethany doesnt have much structure for the fish right now so I have given up on it until the spring. I hit vernonia the other day and caught 3 fish but they well all small ones. THey came off of tiny split tail rapala.
