I am creating this post for anyone that is experiencing shells getting stuck in their stoeger m3000 or m3500. Someone suggested replacing my extractor with the BENELLI M2 EXTRACTOR & UPGRADE KIT. I got one from moaprecision (out of grants pass) for about $20 and i followed the youtube video
. I also bought a punch kit from homedepot for $8 (watch the vid for exact size).

If you are experiencing any issues, try this. Took 15 minutes at most. I hunted the other day and I had NO STUCK SHELLS.

I did this 2 seasons ago for my sons m3000 compact and never had another issue.

Thanks. I haven’t had this problem yet with my m3500, but I had an interesting one today. We ran almost 200 rounds through it today doing sporting clays (buddy’s gun wasn’t cycling, so we shared mine). I had about a half dozen times that the bolt didn’t pick up the second round. It would fire, cycle / eject the first round, but the second round would be sitting between the closed bolt and the trap door below. Any ideas?

If a 3.5" gun aint operating correctly with 1 1/8 oz trap loads, try different ammo. Maybe something with a little more velocity. Oh, and clean the gun.

3.5" guns don't always go 100% perfect with softer shooting shells in recoil operated guns.

The above assumes it works with high brass shells

Some extractor issues are caused by a dull extractor. A few swipes with a fine file will fix them. Get rid of the round over so the extractor bites into the rim of the hull.
