hi all i was just wondering what time of the year do the spring chinock spawn and why does it seem that the spring chinook are brighter then the fall chinooks that are cought

The Springers enter the rivers now through early June, and will not spawn until Fall. They are full of fat reserves in their meat, to sustain them while in the rivers prior to spawning. This is why they are also the finest eating Salmon that swims!!! :wink:

drachir thanks that makes alot of sense now heres one more with all the talk about non cliped fin fish so called wild chinooks what percentage of those fish return to the hatcherys?
