I recently went out to Bolon Island out of Gardiner, OR by Reedsport and caught 17 soft shell clams and cooked them in plain water with about an inch of water in the pot and steamed them for 8 mins. After I tried them I noticed they had no flavor and didn’t have that great of a taste. I’ve watched videos and mainly saw that that was the way most people cooked them. Is there anything I did wrong or should do different next time. I’m thinking about trying to fry them next time, but if anyone has a way they do it that tastes good to them, I’d love to hear it!
