For the first time in 40 years we didnt draw our mule deer tags( obviously we dont hunt great units). We are doing a salmon camp instead this weekend on the slaw… reports appreciated

I fished down there all weekend, slow, but if you have good gear, near the bottom, at the tide changes, you will have some chances.

We had better luck down by the bar holding with the incoming and it looks the silvers are starting to show. Also, the crabbing was really good, the best I’ve seen in years, just using salmon carcass, by the coast gaurd station.

Caught fish on both herring and 360s. 360s with hoochie spinners got bit the most though. Good luck, there are plenty of boats this year, get to the launch early.

I’m considering heading down to Florence and checking out the Siuslaw. Need some clarification on the regulations. I see one wild chinook a day and two for the current period. One wild coho and three for the period. Does this mean one chinook and one wild coho a day, or if you tag one fish, you are done for the day?
