Well, Pop's in town for a few days and we are taking him for one night to the Salishan - Nice place, wish we could afford to spend more time there!

Anyway, this will give us access to the private Salishan beach at the mouth of the Siletz.

The regs say open for Clipped Steelhead the entire year, and chinook in April->December.

I've searched the board and seen some nice Steelie pics!!

Anyway, does anyone fish the mouth of the bay? Steelies and chinook? (I assume since the regs don't say CLIPPED nooks, it's open for both)

I'll only have a few hours to do this I imagine, but I take any opportunity I can!

Thanks in advance!

Tom

The mouth of the Siletz is considered to shallow to fish. Head upstream about 2 miles and there are Spring Chinook to be caught if you troll spinners or herring. Good luck! Grant

Hey Grant, I may be interested in booking a spring chinook trip with you. Email the damage to me please.
