Very few people in line today made it easy to get on a spot. Pulled chip #65 and still managed mudlake 3. Hunting was pretty slow throughout the whole day, alot of birds on the refuge but not much in the lakes. Heres the end results...

Nice Brett, I hunted Hunt #6 and limited out today. Birds worked good. I was pleased, it was my first trip out this year.

Birds must have been out on the east side feeding all day because it was absolutely dead on the west side.

Had a buddy shoot Hunt #7 and shot a fair share of birds. 6 or 7 I think.

#7 did well. They left about an hour before me. The second group that took the blind shot their pintails and continued to shoot at them. The State Trooper was going to have a talk with them.

I also hunted the westside today. Pulled chip 84 and decided to go to steelman. You might ask why. Well because I had a good feeling. My buddy and I shot our limit. 10 teal, 2 widg, and 2 bufflehead. We shot 2boxes of shells each and missed a lot of mallards. I usually hate hunting steelman but I took it over seal and mud lake today. Gut feeling I guess
