Got MY Shingles shot the other day. It really kicked my ass. Is the 2nd shot just as bad. Probably should have just sucked it up and rowed the drift boat Sunday morning.

Maybe. My first one made me feel flu-ish for a little more than a day. The second one was fine for me. I have heard every combination of symptoms.

My wife had more issues with the first one. I didn't have an issue with either, but I've also had shingles twice. YMMV.

I had both without issues, just a sore arm for a couple days. My wife is getting her second next week. No problems with her first one.

From what I was told Shingle shot Over 50 Shingrix is a two shot er more coverage, reduce chances of getting shingles Get about 2 to 6 months apart. I ain't no doctor but is over 50

Even though I had a pretty severe case of chicken pox as a kid, both injections had me staying in bed the next day.
Just sleep it off and way, way better than the getting shingles....I can't imagine having lesions on my eyeballs!

I got mine 4-5 years ago. I can't remember the order, but one put me down for 2 days and the other just a very sore arm. Beats ever shingles story I've heard.

I had shingles the month after I turned 30. Horrible pain that kept me up all night for a week. This is a good reminder to look into that shot 😅

Yep, 1st shot had flu like symptoms for a day, can't remember the 2nd so I don't think it was as bad. Same with my wife.

Which variety did you trust?
I wouldn't go below the Bat conceived inoculation.
YMMV.

First shot, sore arm, second one flue like for a day. I hadn't seen my nearby 75 y.o. neighbor for all of December-January, thought he was in Arizona...turns out hes was layed up with shingles. Choose your poison.

I'm to chicken. Wife did not have a good experience.

I had a mild dose of Shingles on my leg. Dr. said it was but didn't feel the slightest bit of discomfort. It just looked ugly.

Fwiw, my wife got the shots after seeing what I went through with shingles. The shot may not be fun for you, but I can guarantee that it's possible to get shingles twice (I have). If you get it in your face/eye, you'll wish you got the shots.
