Oh very true, I’m not complaining. My wife also drew the #5 pick for Racetrack on opening day….decisions, decisions….

 

Consider yourself lucky those are both hard draws to get for opening day.

 

Oh I do consider myself lucky. I’ve been duck hunting for over 37 years and this is my first opening day draw.

Can't make the opener but drew Hunt, seq. 6 on day 4. Hopefully no pump issues this year! Always look forward to it.

 

Any one lucky enough to draw should be calling to see if they have pumped any water in the units they have drawn. The last few years they have had pump issues. Someone's not doing their job!

How was the water level and bird traffic?

 

Ducks were epic first hour and a half. Sprig. Mallards. Gadwall. Teal. Wood ducks. Best I've seen in Sept. My son missed a lot of ducks.

Water is pretty low. I've seen it lower. We need some rain bad.
