I love a reuben but most of them are a hot, gooey mess if thousand island dressing, melted cheese, and soggy bread. It's such a good idea of a sandwich that it's still good like that.

More meat, less cheese, less sauce, and crispier bread, people. And some spicy mustard on the side. That's all I ask...a little common sense!

I do include the thousand island dressing but an important addition is some Beaver Extra Hot horseradish.

A minimal amount of dressing is acceptable. I just try to not think about it being ketchup stirred into mayonnaise with a little pickle relish. Yuck.

Horseradish for sure though.
