Analysts say Russia has lost 1,200 tanks, over 2,100 armored vehicles, and 7,300 artillery systems in 2025 alone, while gaining only one-third of one percent of Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian counter attacks and fortified defenses turned Russia’s “decisive summer” into a costly failure,

I just opened and read all of this thread for the first time. Hang in there plugs. Keep posting. If it gets too close, run, dive into the bushes and stay dead still. Like most people, soldiers are too lazy to go far from roads or put much effort in to finding challenging targets.

 

So far right where I'm at in Kiliya there hasn't been any action going on other than the drones heading over us after they entered Romanian airspace and the Romanian jets chasing them. I'm in the far southwest part of Ukraine and there is no troops to hide from. You can't hide from drones even in the dark they also have heat seeking ability. The city of Ismael is 50 miles away and Odessa is 139 miles way. Ismael gets hit 2 or 3 times a week by drones and Odessa gets hit almost every night with drones, missiles and artillery shells. I was fishing about 1 1/2 miles west of town when the Romanian jets passed by just the eastside of Kiliya. It was so loud and fast out of no where I didn't get to actually see them. It was so loud you could feel it and my 1st reaction was to duck and not look up.😬

I'm leaving Kiliya on the 26th. Between bus rides and airflights 3/4's of the way around the globe I'll be home on the 1st. of Oct. Well that's the schedule but the last few days Russia has been doing a cyber attack on the airports and they are a ongoing disaster as of 3 days ago still and now with Russia sending drones to the west side of Ukraine we have to hope that there's still bus drivers with enough balls we can even get to Moldova to catch our flight out of here.
We're leaving on the 26th our flight is on the 27th and on the 28 Moldova has parliamentary elections and everyone is predicting they are going to side with Russia. So we are cutting it by the seat of our pants to get out of here.
This has no way been a stress free vacation for me at all!!! But we have got to see the Ukraine fam damily

Whewwwwwhat a busy day today!!! Started off with on the way to go fishing this morning we stopped to visit Raisa's brother Bora as the sun was coming up. Besides the shoe repair he has in town he also has about a 5 acer strawberry field to sell strawberries.

Got to fishing 1 1/2 hours after daylight. Here's the wife with her 90 year old dad and me with my step son on the Danube River

My catch 4 Karossk today. Had to leave early because the dentist called and wanted me a day early to do adjustments on my implant.

The dentist called and had a open slot a day earlier than my appointment so I quit fishing and went and got that at of the way

After the dentist torture was over we made a visit to the graveyard to say our good byes and place a picture on Raisa's sister headstone. Here we are visiting momma with papa.

And still made it home by 3:45. I'll be fishing 1 last day tomorrow before the venture home

Ukraine took out 3 more oil refineries last night and Russia's answer to that was to launch 540 drones and 30 cruse missals on civilian apartment buildings while they are in bed sleeping at night. They also targeted grocery store warehouses in multiple regions.

 

And the rest of the planet finds this acceptable. Shame…….

 

Last night was a little to close for comfort with 1 town 12 miles and another less than 30 miles away being struck with drones and missals Last night.
had a slow day for fishing my last day in Ukraine. I only caught 2 perch which was the only 2 bites I had from 6am-11:00am
