You may have stumped the Ifish panel.

I have seen them before and not sure what they are…
but I did the same thing, cut them out when it was a couple…and toss the fillet if to many.

Of coarse I have a parasite phobia, and Wak doesn’t eat worms, or flukes…..gross.

I don’t even grow veggies that are not smooth and void of bug hiding spots…and don’t look to close in a bucket of blackberries….

I have a hard time staying on subject….sorry again.

 

I have had those in some of my fish as well. They were so bad that I tossed the filets. No idea what they are.

 

They might be blood flukes.

 

According to my buddy who is a commercial fisherman anytime you find worms or things like that in your fish he says they’re made of fish I’m not buying it I’m like dan I’m not much for creepy crawlers

 

Not to mention that A Significant amount of zoonotic pathogenic parasites get eaten if you Don't say No!

In fact I recently found suspicious flatworm-looking things in my cats Ocean Whitefish Dinner and we're heading to the vet!

 

I've gotten those in lings occassionally as well. As others said, if it it's only a few we cut them out. A few times they are thick and the fillet gets tossed. Mostly, if felt sorry for the fish.

Do you have a pict of the dorsal side of the "worm"? Did you notice any dorsal striping or a dorsal band that was lighter or darker than the body? Also, I think I recognize the white gelatinous tissue in the bottom right but additional picts would help
