Does anyone know if crawdadin is any good at ollalie lake? have gone in the past but never saw any floats for traps and I just fished, but this time maybe have to throw a trap or two out.

same question for paulina.... by the end of the weekend there were traps all over it seemed. We even caught one on the down rigger cable ..go figure.

I dont know if they have em in the lake at olalie. I have tried once and did not have any luck......might call the lodge up there and ask.

Ah yes. Waterdogs. (that's what we called them down south) I haven't done any waterdoggin' in a long time. :grin:

Most crawdads in most places are camoflaged to blend in with their surroundings...i.e. dark brown to black. Down on the central coast streams...or at least those streams that don't yet have smallmouth bass so still have 'dads...the crayfish are bright red and don't blend in at all. Never could understand the evolutionary advantage of a prey species being so easily seen. :whazzup:

strange that there is crawdads in timothy but may not be in ollalie.... :shrug:
