Maybe someone has ideas....
I've got an old Merc 500 that I love. Always runs, etc. The pee stream out the back isn't flowing lately. I've tried to check the water pump, and it seems to be working. When I run the hose flush attachment and pull the water pump flushing plug, I get plenty of water. The hose and n ipples from the block to the outlet are clear of debris. I even have the water jacket cover off, and for the 5 seconds I could bear to risk running it this way, the block seems to be getting water too.
Do these things have a thermostat that could be stuck? Seems in the past it always peed right off the bat without warmup, but I might be wrong. Is there anywhere else that could be clogged that I can get to without tearing into the powerhead?
HELLLPPPP!!!
