How’s the fire danger in Fort Rock unit? Heading out in the morning.

Silver lake has been our unit if choice lately… good luck.. pm and let me know how it went… i was over a couple weeks ago for a friends muzzy goat tag… deer were pretty scarce… lots of water around

Ya we took trailers last weekend and scouted and deer were few and far between, it was mid 80's and really dry so that did not surprise me... I will pm you and let you know how it went

How did his goat hunt turn out was thinking about that tag next year

Scouted last evening, saw 15 deer, 3 of which were bucks. Two small forkies and a spike.

I’m holding out for the spike.

I’m skipping this year. No deer or elk. Don’t want my friends feeling like they have to babysit me after last year.

Feels weird not being up there and having no plans to go and at least stay a few days.

It was tough… not a ton of goats but he eventually got a decent buck
