Going to camp with family this year. There were supposed to be four of us but my Grandpa's niece passed over the weekend so he will be in Texas for her service. He may or may not join us when he gets back to Oregon.
Gear is staged and ready, still need get clothes packed tonight. Leaving at 0400 on Thursday for Beulah unit.

Tags and gear are patiently waiting for the opener. My son wants to hunt the spot he shot his buck at last year. So nice having blm land in my back yard. Grab the coffee and go. Good luck to all this rifle season. Side note his spike by three last year tasted amazing so did his sister spike by fork. Hahaha

Good luck everyone and stay safe! Headed out east Friday morning with my two sons and son in law. Time spent with them far out ways getting something on the ground. Weather should be great and I saw fire restrictions have been lifted so it will be nice to have a camp fire. FYI - We all carry Zoleo's (other types of these are available [e.g., Garmin In-reach, etc.} for satellite communication with built in emergency locator beacon if ever needed.

4 wheeler is on trailer, 85 dodge shortbed. heater and wipers. no radio.still looking for a stock 85 truck radio that works. final list go's on today. with rain today packing needs some tactic changes

I hear those nubbin fawn bucks are the best.........
Either sex season maybe, but the antler has to be shed-able.

The best eating is, of course, when they still have spots. Then you can roast them whole.

I almost caught this one. Maybe if I’d used both hands.
