Well let's say that today was a great fishing day. Catching on the other hand was SLOW!!!!!
It was bit to windy to fish out in front of the oyster house first thing this morning so we decided to run up the wilson while we still had enough water. We did this knowing it was a long shot, and we would be stuck until about 12:00 til the tide came back in. We tried kwikies, back bouncing eggs, bobber fished for awhile. NOT A BITE to be had. Talked to about a dozen other boats, same story.
Ran out to the bay and started trolling spinners by the picket fence. One of my partners picked up a 35 pound buck about 2:30. Missed one other bite foul hooked one in the back for a quick long line release. :hoboy: Trolled all the way up into the Tillamook river. Fished until 5:30. Nothing else to report. Other than the wind was still a problem. It's tough trolling in that much wind.
Saw all of four fish caught for maybe a total of 30 boats.
