Fall chinook at Tillamook is one of my favorite fisheries !! nice to get back at it . Started out around 7ish and crossed on a small ebb tide and into a sloppy ocean. Dang Honda won't start !!! Pull and pull and pull and swap out spark plugs and away she goes ...been nice to have done that in the driveway vs 6-7 foot swells on short intervals ...oh well , we're fishing now . About 8 a buds rod pops but it's a clipped silver . A decent bite going on about then and we manage a small nook for the box. Another good bite around noon , one hour past low slack and another goes in the box ...we missed a couple and lost a couple but it was fall nookies for dinner (and crab !!)Brined blue and purple label plug cut and trolled slow on 5-6 foot leaders with 2 foot droppers . saw the carrot boys out there and got a peak at the famous juice !!! Was that anise I smelled ?!? Saw'em net one and we can all imagine that was just one of many for them !! Best of luck to ya'all...swampy
