I can't think of any fish story, but here is a stupid mistake I made in January at Cathedral Park. I was launching my boat to go after Diamond Sides.
I put the boat in and motored out while the truck was being parked. Went to the back of the boat to put my tranducer down and the floor was all wet. I instantly knew the drain plug wasn't in
, so I yelled at my brother in law to get the trailer. I made a run back to the ramp and kept circling to help keep the water out of the boat till the boat ramp was clear. When we pulled it out, water was pouring out of the drain plug and both bilge pumps still kicking water out. What a sight! If I wasn't so busy, I would have hid my head in shame. First time in 38 years of owning a boat.
I guess the moral to this story is, don't get side tracked with conversation while preparing boat for launching.
